The new Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin should be available for the public in 2015 or maybe early 2016. As you see, the engine has been upgraded to a liter bike.
The African Twin is a well brand of it's own dating back to 1988 with the XRV650. It won several races, among the greatest of all, Dakar. Later the public got a XRV750 edition, but we haven't seen anything new since 2003 from Honda. They have cross bikes and kind of adventure and enduro editions of other models, but no all-around-the-world bike like the Twin Turbo. It is therefore with great excitement we are looking forward to see and try the new twin. Will it be able to compete with the dominating BMW GS1200?
With the new CRF1000L you have the option for a DCT (Dual-Shaft-transmission) gearbox with a program for offroad driving. A difficult task but I bet they have made it work.
I'm a male in my first 30's. I have ridding a motorcycle since I was 23 years old, and I'll never look back. My motorcycle is my day to day transportation, and have kind of grown to a passion for the indescribable freedom.
I work with websites and social medias, so I feel like I almost must have my own website too, where I can share my experiences, news and more.
I will promote you for a test ride or some products for reviews.
